Togochey is an exception because of the place that it’s in - Ladakh, because of the grand hospitality that they demonstrate, because of the spacious rooms, clean linen, and all necessary amenities, because of the good Chai that they serve, because of the balanced and good North Indian food that they cook and because of the little Ladakh that they have built inside the hotel - be it the traditional dining space or the traditional, lovely welcome that they did for me. I loved the place.

We stayed on our last lap / last day of our Leh, Ladakh trip at Hotel Togochey, Leh. Ladakh, India. We discovered a wonderful, spic n span, sprawling and well laid out Hotel. Good size and a very decently equipped room. The balcony added a rare flavour - missed in most of the hotels nowadays. The cleanliness could only be felt. Not talked about. The room service and overall response from the Manager Mr. Ravi down to support staff (say Mr. Govind) was immediate and quite caring to make you feel happy and superb. Next morning, ready to depart, me and my wife waited anxiously in the Hotel Lobby for our pre-fixed Taxi cab to drop us at the Airport. No show. We grew anxious by the minute and virtually panicked with barely an hour left for the flight departure time. Tried frantically to get alternate cab or vehicle. Nothing. It was very agonising and we had no clue what to do now. Suddenly, a smart gentleman appears, introduces himself as Mr. Rinchin Dorjey, the owner of the Hotel. He picks up one our bags and prods us to quickly come with him and he would drops us to the Airport in his personal car. No time to waste he says. With a fresh breath of life we got into his car and left. Returning back home I kept thinking of our experience and fate at the TOGOCHEY. It was so wonderful to stay and pleasant to end. It is the goodness of the owner Mr. Rinchin Dorjey that rubs off to the hotel and the staff. I wish we had stayed far longer than 1 Day. Even 1 Day was very wonderful and we got Unlimited Care. Comfortable stay. Staff is very Cooperative. Food is very good. We stayed three nights and was very comfortable. Only 10 mins walk from the main market. Really a good hotel. Spending evening in their lawn was giving a very peaceful atmosphere .
